Who should attend?
The course is designed for technicians who have prior experience in the design, installation and maintenance of TV and satellite reception and relay systems, and who would like to update their knowledge of IRS systems.

- Review of TV and satellite reception techniques
- Review of SMATV network planning procedures
- Review of MPEG and DVB principles
- DTT levels, C/N ratio and BER
- Windows of operation
- Digital Satellite levels, C/N ratio and BER
- Windows of operation
- Basic design of a specific systems from building plans
- Calculation of signal levels
- Practical construction of an IRS system
- Practical signal measurement & commissioning
- Test the system designed and constructed

Certification: Successful delegates will receive a CAI IRS Installer Certificate. It is also recognised as evidence of underpinning knowledge towards NVQ Level 2 & 3.
