Manhattan TV Launches Aero 4K Streamer Bringing Freely to Any TV

Manhattan TV has announced the Aero 4K TV Streamer with Freely, a new device designed to bring the UK’s free-to-view streaming platform to existing televisions over Wi-Fi. The device is due to launch in February.

The Aero connects directly to a broadband network, removing the need for an aerial or satellite dish. It provides access to more than 60 live TV channels through Freely alongside more than 75,000 hours of on-demand content from services including BBC iPlayer, ITVX, Channel 4 and Channel 5.

The device runs on TiVo OS, giving users access to additional streaming services including Netflix, Disney+ and Prime Video, as well as YouTube. TiVo+ also provides more than 400 free streaming channels and a library of on-demand content.

The Aero supports 4K streaming and includes TiVo Voice for voice search, allowing users to search across live and on-demand content. Its Wi-Fi connectivity also means Freely can be accessed in any room with a suitable broadband connection.

The Aero is priced at £69.99 and will be available through retailers including Currys, John Lewis and Amazon. Its launch comes as demand for Freely continues to grow, with research cited by Manhattan suggesting more than 70% of Samsung and LG users want Freely on their next television.

The launch expands the availability of Freely beyond compatible smart TVs, giving households with existing televisions another way to access free live and on-demand UK television through broadband.
