Apple Unveils New Apple TV 4K With Siri AI
Apple has unveiled a new generation of Apple TV 4K, introducing enhanced performance, hands-free voice control and AI-powered content discovery as the company expands its smart home and streaming offering. The device features a new version of Siri powered by Apple Intelligence, designed to help users find and explore films and television programmes through a conversational, full-screen interface.
The new device is powered by Apple’s A19 chip, delivering up to 50% faster CPU performance and up to twice the GPU performance of the previous generation. It also includes a dedicated AV1 decoder, designed to support more efficient, high-quality video streaming while using less bandwidth.
A key addition is the inclusion of three far-field microphones, allowing users to speak to Siri without using the remote. Viewers can ask questions about programmes, request recommendations and search for content using natural language. With a compatible Apple Intelligence-enabled iPhone, Siri can also use personal context to respond to requests, such as finding a programme recommended by a friend.
Apple has also expanded the device’s audio capabilities. For the first time, users can create a four-speaker surround sound system by pairing Apple TV 4K with compatible HomePod mini 2 or HomePod second-generation speakers. The speakers automatically calibrate their audio levels and timing to suit the room.
The updated Siri Remote includes Find My support with Precision Finding, alongside an option to play a sound to help locate it. Apple TV 4K also continues to operate as a smart home hub, with support for controlling connected accessories, managing scenes and receiving enhanced camera activity descriptions and summarised notifications through the Home app.
The new Apple TV 4K is available to pre-order from Apple, with UK pricing set at £299. Availability is scheduled to begin on 13 November 2026. The launch forms part of Apple’s wider strategy to connect streaming entertainment, AI-powered services and smart home technology within its ecosystem.
